Experience
Chris joined Bratenahl Capital Partners in 2020 as a Partner and member of the investment team. He has twenty years of private equity investing experience across fund investments, co-investments and secondaries.
Prior to joining Bratenahl, Chris worked as a Partner and Co-Head of Secondary Investing at PA Capital for seven years, where he was responsible for all facets of the firm’s secondary investment activities, and actively served as an Advisory Board member of various underlying private equity funds. Prior to joining PA Capital, Chris was Managing Partner and Founder of Cuyahoga Capital Partners, acquired by PA, where he was focused on secondary private equity investment and lower middle market fund investing. Prior to founding Cuyahoga Capital Partners, Chris was a Managing Director at KCC Management LLC, a subsidiary of KeyCorp, for four years where he led the firm’s private equity investment activities in both the secondary and primary markets, building a private equity portfolio in excess of $1 billion. Prior to joining KCC, Chris working for Pomona Capital, a secondary firm in New York, and also worked as an investment banker to the telecommunications industry for ING Barings and ABN AMRO and as an attorney to the maritime and insurance industries.
Education
Chris earned an M.B.A. from the Yale School of Management and a J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law. He received an A.B., Magna Cum Laude, from Georgetown University, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa.
Personal
Chris lives in Rocky River, OH with his wife, two children and two dogs. Outside of work, Chris enjoys spending time with his family, traveling and participating in most sports.
